Professors John Franck, Brett Jakubiak, David Kellen, Davoud Mozhdehi and Minghao Rostami have been awarded five-year CAREER grants to support their innovative research and educational outreach.

The professorship was made possible by a gift of $2 million in honor of psychology alumna Dr. Faith “Chris” Maltby Cobb.

Emily Helminen, school psychology Ph.D. candidate, received funding from the Lesbian Health Fund for her research project, Effects of Self-Compassion Practice on Stress Reactivity Among Sexual Minority Women.

Jessica Powers, a clinical psychology Ph.D. candidate, received funding from NIDA for her NIH F31 Predoctoral NRSA Grant Application.

Sarah Woolf-King is collaborating on a project designed to reduce HIV incidence in East Africa.
