First-year students work with a dedicated advising team until the end of first year to ensure a smooth transition into the Syracuse experience. Sophomores, juniors and seniors have advisors specially trained on academic courses and plans as well as career preparation and exploration.

In Person Drop-in Advising Service

Drop-ins take place Monday - Thursday from 2-4 p.m. in HL 342.
Students can also make in-person and virtual appointments with their advisor via Orange Success.
To schedule an appointment, go through OrangeSUccess:
- Log into MySlice and select the Orange Success link. Can't find it? Use (CTRL or CMD) + F and enter "Success".
- Click "My Success Network" on the left side of the OrangeSUccess page.
- Find your A&S | Maxwell advisor and use the "Schedule Appointment" link. You’ll have an option to choose in-person or virtual.
- Find an open slot and use the "+ Sign up" button to reserve that time. List questions and discussion topics in the "notes" section. Appointments are available both virtually and in-person.
