The Psychology Research Initiative in Diversity Enhancement (PRIDE) Program recently wrapped up it’s 11th year with the annual research symposium.
PRIDE provides a full-time 7-week mentored summer research experience to psychology majors from underrepresented groups in science. Participants are matched with a faculty and graduate-student mentor in Clinical, Cognitive, Social or School Psychology, or Neuroscience and spend substantial time working in a psychology research lab.
In addition to gaining hands-on research experience in psychology, participants also join a weekly professional development series designed to help prepare them for graduate school application.
On Thursday, PRIDE students wrapped up their summer experience by presenting their seven-week-long research projects in the areas of Cognitive, Brain and Behavior, Clinical, School and Social Psychology.
Congratulations to Charlene, Frankie, Laurie, Noah, Sarina and Valerie on a job well done!
