Important Note: Forensic science professionals play a crucial role within the criminal justice system. As such, personal integrity, honesty and scientific objectivity are vital. Those pursuing careers or internships in this field should be prepared for background checks similar to those required for law enforcement positions. These checks may include evaluations of criminal history, drug use, social media activity, credit history and past work performance.
