The Department of Psychology is happy to announce the addition of Dr. Sara E. Burke as a new member of the faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Burke joins us from Yale University where she completed a PhD and postdoctoral research fellowship. She is currently examining inter-group bias focusing specifically on under-examined groups. Her fascinating research demonstrates that prejudice, sterotyping, and discrimination can show different psychological patterns dependingn on which social group they are targeting. Most recently, her work has focused on stigmatized groups that pervade our social environment yet receive relatively little mainstream attention.
