Forensic science and biochemistry major Amber Vandepoele ’22 will present her poster, “Phylogenetic Differential Separation of Environmental Samples: The First Step in Improving Mixed Species Sequencing Results,” at the International Symposium on Human Identification (ISHI) in September. Ahead of the symposium, Vandepoele, who is an ISHI student ambassador, was featured in a Q&A article where she discussed her interest in forensic science and her ongoing research at Syracuse University.
