Jennie Chen is a fiction writer from San Francisco and a third year MFA candidate at Syracuse University. She received her B.A. in English from the University of San Francisco with a concentration in creative writing, although only recently has she realized that "cemetery" is spelled with an e. Her psychological and surrealist fiction is centered around mental health, generational trauma, and the joys and horrors of emotional vulnerability. She is currently working on her first novel and enjoys Family Guy and carrying her cats around the house to smell things they cannot reach by themselves.
