The B.S. in communication sciences and disorders requires students to fulfill the quantitative skills requirement for the liberal arts core and to complete 34 credits in CSD courses, as outlined below.

Neuroscience Integrated Learning Major

Combining a CSD major with the Neuroscience Integrated Learning Major (ILM):

Neuroscience is the core of human communication in hearing, understanding and producing speech and language. Many of the communication disorders speech-language pathologists and audiologists work with are directly caused by developmental or acquired neurological damage/dysfunction. The ILM in Neuroscience is an excellent complement to CSD, providing advanced knowledge of neurological and cognitive function and assessment techniques related to language, speech and hearing.

Minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders Requirements

A minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders s designed for the student who wishes to explore the field, to investigate an area of academic substance, and to become familiar with a field that offers opportunities in both applied and basic research and clinical practice. The minor consists of 18 credits in CSD coursework.
