On Thursday, August 11th the Syracuse Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Engagement (SOURCE) held the in-person portion of its summer research symposium. The event showcased summer undergraduate research. Over 100 students took part in this year’s symposium, including several biology undergrads who participated in full time researcher this summer. Located in Bird Library, The SOURCE first opened its doors in April of 2019. The program is dedicated to fostering diverse undergraduate creative inquiry and participation in research. Student participants receive training and guidance from the ground up, starting with initial training in research skills and progressing through structuring their own projects, culminating in professional creative and research contributions.
