Congratulations to Music History and Cultures alum Haley R. Knapp (B.A. '18) for graduating in May 2021 from Johns Hopkins University with an MA in Film and Media. In July, Haley started working at Media Star Promotions as an Event Marketing Specialist. MSP is a strategic branding and experiential marketing company. And if this were not enough, she's also busy doing "event gig work" (in her words) at the Chesapeake Arts Center; is on the equipment crew for the Baltimore Ravens Marching Band; and is volunteering with the Maryland Defense Force.

Haley tells us that she is just trying to live life to the fullest: “Personally: my boyfriend and I just completed a backpacking trip - 42 miles from the PA/MD line to Harpers Ferry, WV on the Maryland portion of the Appalachian trail. In 4 days! 16.5 miles the last day – ouch!”

Haley continues that she is scheduled to visit New Orleans at the end of October for the first time, and is “excited to dive into all the culture the town has to offer - music, food, drinks, history! Ahh! I also discovered the Renaissance festival in 2019 and am pumped the MD Faire is up and running this year. I have a 6-day pass I'm so excited to use. Huzzah!”

Finally, Haley reports that she definitely wants to slow down and focus on herself more next year. Over quarantine Haley did a mind, body, spirit overhaul and feels great.
