After completing the NYU Summer Publishing Institute and working for a temp agency, Caleigh Gran ('16) has found a job she loves. She currently works as a copywriter for Virtucom Group, writing in a variety of genres, working on "blog posts, case studies, landing pages, articles, sponsored content, location pages, product descriptions and more for a variety of clients of all sizes and industries." Caleigh believes "all of the writing and rhetoric skills I learned while at SU helps make switching between different formats and tones feel natural." The Writing and Rhetoric major developed her versatility and ability to work between a variety of genres. In addition to her writing responsibilities, she says, "I'm also part of my company's inbound marketing team and do a lot of image processing work."

Speaking to current writing majors, Caleigh says that although her initial job search took some time, "my advice would be to stay positive and keep your options open."

In her free time, Caleigh likes to catch up on her TV shows and YouTube channels, read, and browse Pinterest for DIY home decorating ideas. She adds, "when the weather is nice, you can find me exploring waterfalls in the area or riding my bike at Onondaga Lake Park."
