About the Department of Science Teaching
The Department of Science Teaching is an interdisciplinary program in the College of Arts and Sciences and serves as the hub for teaching, research and scholarship related to undergraduate STEM education at Syracuse University. Originally founded in the late 1940s, the department maintains close collaborations with STEM colleagues in each of the natural sciences and engineering, and is a recognized leader in discipline-based STEM education research and professional development programs. Our Science Teaching faculty members share a commitment to training university STEM educators to be leaders and innovators in their respective fields.
