Joeann Salvati ‘18, a former Psychology and Forensic Science major at Syracuse University, is set to be published in the Journal of Applied Security Research for her independent Honors Capstone research project – Examining the Causes and Consequences of Confession-Eliciting Tactics During Interrogation. This is Joeann’s first author paper written with College of Arts and Sciences Psychology professor, Dr. Shannon Houck.

During her time at Syracuse University, Joeann served as the lab supervisor for the Moral and Political Decision-Making lab under Dr. Shannon Houck and as a research assistant in the Center for Autism Research and Electrophysiology under Dr. Natalie Russo.

Joeann Salvati is currently a pre-doctoral research fellow for the Fundamentals of the Adolescent Brain (FAB) Lab at Yale University. She is working on the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study and is specifically interested in underlying mechanisms of adolescent behaviors that are deemed as deviant.
