PSC Reflections

The Public Scholarship Certificate emphasizes the importance of maintaining a record of work and reflecting on this work in ways that contribute to individual growth, project development and improvement, and discourses of public scholarship within and across fields of study and contexts beyond the academy.
At least 4 individual reflections on your publicly engaged projects, methods, courses, workshops, programs, etc. should be incorporated into your PSC digital portfolio. These reflections should help audiences understand the purposes and processes driving your work and how you see different elements of your work connecting across academic and community contexts. Reflections can be composed in whatever modes (writing, audio, video, graphic, etc.) best suit the students work and portfolio plan.
By incorporating these reflections into the PSC, the program encourages participants to continuously evaluate their relationships with academic and broader communities throughout their graduate career.
