• Kelly Condon, purchasing/grants coordinator for the biology department, received the Chancellor’s Citation for Excellence in the category of Outstanding Contributions to the Student Experience and University initiatives.
• Vera McIlvain, associate teaching professor of biology (specifically biotechnology), received the Laura J. and L. Douglas Meredith Teaching Recognition Award.
• This year's William Wasserstrom Prize will be awarded to Eleanor Maine. This award is given to the full-time faculty member in the College of Arts and Sciences who best exemplify the qualities apparent in the late William Wasserstrom's career: his outstanding success as a graduate seminar leader, research and dissertation director, and advisor and role model for graduate students.
