Congratulations to art history alum Angela Tillapaugh '18 for becoming an assistant in the library at the Massachusetts Historical Society (MHS) in Boston. The MHS is the oldest historical society in the United States and is available to the public for free. Angela's work revolves around assisting researchers through retrieving materials from the library’s stacks, greeting researchers as they come in, and ensuring materials are handled properly in the reading room. In her own words: "I love working at the MHS because of the diverse researchers I meet, you don’t need to be an academic professional to come and access one of a kind documents. Every day I get to learn about the unique projects researchers are working on, and discover something new in the collections I never knew about before."
