Prof Sam Johnson gave a guest presentation at Colgate University last week on Constructivist exhibition design in Prof. Laura Cecchini's seminar, “Modern Art on Display." This is part of the teaching exchange portion of the CNY Humanities Corridor group that prof Johnson has started. Here is an image of El Lissitzky’s 1926 design of a “Room for Constructive Art” in Dresden, which was one of the installations prof Johnson discussed with the seminar students. Prof. Cecchini also visited prof Johnson's “East/West” class this week to give a lecture on the relations of Soviet to Italian Fascist art.
Well done, prof Johnson!
