Posted on: March 23, 2018

Prof Sarah Fuchs Sampson has been awarded a short-term visiting fellowship at Houghton Library at Harvard University, the 2018-19 John M. Ward Fellowship in Dance and Music for the Theatre. This fellowship will support research for her second book project, "Singing beyond the Stage: The Embellished Score in Late Eighteenth- and Early Nineteenth-Century Europe." In the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century, British and French sheet-music publishers commonly issued piano-vocal scores featuring the names of the most celebrated singers of the day on their front covers. Congratulations to prof Sarah Fuchs Sampson!
