Katie Cealka, one of our M.A. in Art History alumna, has been named Rosa Parks Teacher of the Year for Union Public Schools in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  According to the Union Public Schools newsletter, "Cealka... came up with the idea of recording instructional videos on Vimeo for art projects to save her time on explaining some steps over and over throughout the course of a day. In addition, the videos help with her time management and allow her to focus on students which
require individual or small group attention when they play."

Being named Teacher of the Year is one of the highest honors a teacher can receive at Union.
