Emily P. Rabinowitz, a postdoctoral researcher with the Center for Health Behavior Research & Innovation and the D'Aniello Institute for Veterans & Military Families, has received a 2026 Society for Health Psychology Post-Doc Clinical Award — presented by Division 38 of the American Psychological Association during a ceremony on June 10.

The award recognizes outstanding early-career contributions to clinical health psychology and is among the most competitive honors the society confers on postdoctoral researchers. Rabinowitz was one of only six recipients selected nationally this year. This award supports Rabinowitz’s efforts to become a clinical scientist, with a focus on trauma and behavioral medicine.

Rabinowitz conducts her work under the supervision of Joseph W. Ditre, professor of psychology and director of the Center for Health Behavior Research & Innovation.

The Society for Health Psychology promotes the science and practice of health psychology across research, clinical practice, education and public policy.
