Jala Grant earned a B.S. in Business Administration with Magna Cum Laude honors from Bucknell University in May 2022. During her tenure at Bucknell, Jala was a Global Management major, earning the 2022 Bucknell Prize in Global Management. As an Africana Studies minor, she was able to spend a semester abroad in London, England in which she completed an independent study examining the media’s portrayal of Black immigrants in the United Kingdom. Jala’s research interests include Politics of Anti-Blackness; Social, cultural, and economic conditions of Black immigrants in the United Kingdom; Socialist and Anti-Capitalist movements spearheaded by Black activists; Conflict transformation; the Migration of Afro-Caribbean people to the United Kingdom; and the contribution of Black women to the field of Black Studies.
