Research Interests

Causes of and treatments for speech sound disorders, with a focus on persisting articulation errors and childhood apraxia of speech. Clinical trials in speech therapy. Visual feedback treatments for speech, including ultrasound imaging of the tongue and visual acoustic biofeedback. Speech sound errors, speech perception, phonological processing, neurolinguistic basis of speech, language, and literacy difficulties.
