Degrees
Lynne earned a M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology in 2016 from the State University of New York at Fredonia. She earned a B.S. in Speech-Language Disabilities in 2013 from the State University of New York at Cortland. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and New York State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
Lynne Henry joined the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Arts and Sciences in Summer 2024 as an Assistant Teaching Professor. She is providing clinical instruction and supervision of undergraduate and graduate students in the Gebbie Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic.
Lynne has previous clinical experience from birth to end of life in various settings, including early intervention, preschool and school age, acute care, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term care.
Lynne’s adult areas of focus include dysphagia and cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation following stroke, brain injury, and/or head and neck cancer. Lynne’s pediatric areas of focus include feeding disorders, speech and language development, and bilingual speech development. Lynne holds certification in Ampcare’s Effective Swallow Protocol for the use of neuromuscular electrical stimulation for the treatment of dysphagia, NYS Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities, and the NYS Bilingual Teaching Extension.
