Edward Mitzen ’88, founder of Fingerpaint Marketing, a national full-service health and wellness marketing agency in Saratoga Springs, NY, recently published, “More Than A Number: The Power Of Empathy And Philanthropy In Driving Ad Agency Performance.” In this book, Mitzen examines the relationship between ad agency and client, and explains how this partnership is critically important to strong ad creation and strategic work. He suggests that ad companies succeed and grow by maintaining a positive company culture with empathy for clients, employees and communities.
Mitzen, who majored in biology, serves on the A&S Dean’s Advisory Board and frequently returns to campus to speak with and mentor students. He has also created professional opportunities for many A&S students through the years, offering internship and employment at his company, Fingerpaint Marketing.
