A&S Communications Team Welcomes New Digital and Social Media Strategist
Michaela Marino comes to A&S with marketing experience in higher education and the pharmaceutical industry.
The College of Arts and Sciences’ Office of Communications welcomes marketing professional Michaela Marino, who will serve as the College’s digital and social media strategist. Marino joins A&S with experience in the academic and pharmaceutical fields.
Prior to joining A&S, Marino served as a marketing communications manager at Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy, an integrative pharmaceutical corporation with 28 retail locations across six U.S. states. Marino oversaw internal and external messaging and led that organization's social media campaigns.
Marino, a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, also worked as a marketing coordinator for that institution's Department of Strategic Relations and Communications. In that role, she conducted extensive market research, managed successful digital and print marketing campaigns and cultivated relationships with trusted university stakeholders.
“Michaela’s experience within higher education and the corporate world means that she will acclimate quickly while bringing a fresh perspective to our content strategy,” says Arts and Sciences director of communications, Daeya Malboeuf. “I’ve no doubt that her time with the top-notch social team at UC Boulder will prove particularly valuable as she builds on the strong foundation of the College’s existing social presence.”
“My time in both the creative and strategic sides of marketing has allowed me to connect with communities far and wide, resulting in a passion for a social approach that bridges ideas together,” says Marino. “I look forward to joining the team in curating engaging and well researched content across all of A&S print and digital platforms.”
An outdoor and music enthusiast, Marino enjoys hiking and playing the violin and trumpet in her spare time.
