Angela Woods ’05, a graduate of Syracuse University’s School of Education and a program officer for the U.S. State Department’s Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program will present a two-part seminar to undergraduate and graduate students interested in applying to the summer language program.

The CLS Program offers fully-funded summer language institutes for U.S. university students and covers approximately one academic year of university-level language coursework. The program, designed to meet the needs of students from a variety of language levels and backgrounds is provided during a seven- to ten-week summer program. The CLS Program administers educational offerings in 13 critical languages, including but not limited to Hindi, Indonesian, Korean, Punjabi, Turkish, Urdu, Arabic, Persian, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian. Students interested in applying to the CLS Program must submit their applications for summer 2015 programs by mid-November.
