The Syracuse University chapter of the national mathematics honorary society Pi Mu Epsilon (New York Alpha chapter) welcomed three new members in Spring 2019. Founded in 1914 at Syracuse University, Pi Mu Epsilon currently has over 350 chapters at colleges and universities throughout the United States. The primary mission of the society is to promote mathematical activities among university students.
Kasey Brinkerhoff, Class of 2021
Kasey Brinkerhoff is an Applied Mathematics major with a minor in Data Analytics. Mathematics was her favorite subject since the secondary school. She is currently studying Partial Differential Equations and Mathematical Statistics.
Delong Chen, Class of 2020
Delong Chen is a Mathematics major who enjoys the abstract mathematical way of viewing the world. He is currently studying Probability and Fundamental Concepts of Geometry.
Brittany Wright, Class of 2020
Brittany Wright is a double major in Mathematics and Secondary Mathematics Education. In her role as a Calculus Help Center tutor she is helping numerous students succeed in their calculus coursework. She is currently studying Mathematical Statistics, Number Theory, and Fundamental Concepts of Geometry.
