Nicole Fonger joined the department in 2017 as an Assistant Professor, with a joint appointment at the School of Education. She researches how students learn mathematics, with a focus on students' learning of algebra and algebraic thinking across K-12 schooling.
Amy Macrina joined the department in 2017 as an Assistant Teaching Professor. She coordinates Calculus courses MAT 295-296-397, the crucial course sequence for the students in natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics.
