Dylan is a sixth-year PhD candidate and teaching associate specializing in American film and cultural studies. He is currently at work on his dissertation, "Cosmopolitan Hollywood: Blockbusters, Tourism, and Projecting American Identity," which studies representations of American tourists traveling abroad in popular American cinema from 1945-present. He also manages the Digital Scholarship Space (DSS) at Syracuse University where he leads workshops on artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and game design. He has taught a range of courses dealing with literature and media in their historical and cultural contexts such as Interpretation of Film, Interpretation of
Nonfiction, and Gender and Literary Texts.
