Ciara Johnson is a poet from Baltimore and a first year MFA candidate at Syracuse University. She received her Bachelors in English from Spelman College with a concentration in writing. She writes and ruminates about desire, repression, religious deconstruction, and grief—informed by her late blooming queerness and connection to the natural world.
