Eric Schiff, professor of physics, was quoted in a Boston Herald article titled, "How long will the smoke last in Massachusetts? ‘It’s going to stick with us’ as state issues air quality advisory." His comments also appeared in pieces published by Erie News Now and Yahoo! News.

Schiff, who is an air quality expert, said residents should close their windows when an air quality advisory is in effect and consider using air purifiers. The northeast experienced hazy skies and a smoky smell due to wildfires in Canada.
