Maria Pettolina, professor of practice in the Forensic and National Security Sciences Institute, was quoted in an article on the website The Trace, titled When Your Loved One’s Body Becomes ‘Evidence.’

Pettolina, who has over a decade of experience as a forensic expert, discussed the importance of keeping evidence undisturbed during a criminal investigation. "...the more people that you get under that tape, the more chance we have for cross contamination," Pettolina said. "We only have one chance to collect evidence."
