Beckam Polis is a junior from Chalfont, PA, triple-majoring in Biochemistry, Neuroscience, and Applied Mathematics. Beckam researches myelin at SUNY Upstate Medical University, works with a pulmonologist at Johns Hopkins studying a rare disease called sarcoidosis, and conducts clinical research with a vascular neurosurgeon, with the ultimate goal of becoming a neurosurgeon himself. On campus, he is the Vice President of Academic Affairs in the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Vice Chair of University Senate Student Caucus, an Honors LLC Resident Advisor, Pre-Medicine Ambassador, and works as an EMT at Syracuse's student-run ambulance organization, SUA.
