Collie Fulford, associate professor of writing and rhetoric and director of the Writing Center in the College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University, has been named the University’s inaugural faculty fellow for civic and global responsibility. The appointment was made possible through a partnership between the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence.

In this role, Fulford will engage students as partners in assessing this University-wide learning goal. Her team will use a "think tank" approach to review existing data on the civic and global responsibility competency. They will make recommendations for faculty development based on practices that are meaningful to students.
