Kandace S. Geldmeier, earned her PhD in December 2016 with a dissertation entitled "Religiosity in Secular Spaces: Perinatal Bereavement Rituals in the Hospital." She was was recently invited to give the Samuel G. Dunn Lecture in Medical Humanities at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Her lecture was titled, "Medical Intimacies: Pregnant Embodiment, Bereavement Rituals and Religion."
