On Saturday September 24, Mallory Hennigar, Julie Edelstein, Dimple Dhanani, and Sujata Bhattacharya comprised a panel “Globalization and Transnational Networks in South Asian Religious Worlds: Vaishnav, Shaivite, and Ambedkarite Traditions” with a response by Joanne Waghorne at the New York Conference on Asian Studies held at Utica College. The audience was sparse but the papers spirited as the presence of the deities and our ancestors nonetheless filled the room.
