Sukenik’s research seeks to understand the interplay between the proteins that make our cells work and the environment that surrounds them. To approach this challenge, his lab uses a multidisciplinary approach, combining live-cell microscopy, high-throughput experimental methods, and biophysical characterization of intrinsically-disordered proteins. Through these his lab aims to gain a molecular-level understanding of how proteins works in chemically diverse environments, outside and inside the cell, in both health and in disease.
