Every month, the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) hosts an area scientist, engineer, or technologist. This month, MOST will welcome Scott Watson, assistant professor of physics in Syracuse University’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Watson, who will discuss dark matter and dark energy (the dark-side of the universe) is slated to appear at MOST on Saturday, September 20 at 9:30 a.m. Sponsored by the Technology Alliance of Central New York (TACNY), the event, geared toward middle school students, is free and open to the public though registration is required. Watson joined the Syracuse University faculty in 2010. He also serves as an associate visiting professor at Cornell University. Watson, an expert in early universe cosmology, dark matter, and dark energy, earned a Ph.D. in physics from Brown University.
