Philosophy Professor Featured in New York Post Ethics Story

The article highlighted a new survey revealing that many Americans are willing to compromise their morals for money.

Ben Bradley, the Allan and Anita Sutton Professor in the Department of Philosophy, was quoted in a New York Post article titled "What would Americans really do for $1 million? Survey reveals shocking truth." The piece highlighted a recent survey which showed that many Americans would compromise personal relationships and ethics for large sums of money. Experts suggest these findings highlight how financial pressure can influence moral decision-making, with some warning that actual behavior might be even more extreme than survey responses indicate.

In the article, Bradley, an ethics expert, said, “People often think they would act a certain way when confronted with a scenario, but are wrong...A non-trivial number of people regard morality as a sucker’s game.”
