Last Thursday, November 29, 2018, prof Sascha Scott gave a “lunch bag lecture” at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Prof Scott spoke about how we might decolonize the history of American Art, using O’Keeffe’s painting of Hawai’i for Dole advertisements as a way into the topic. It was a packed room! Much to her delight, AMH alums Emily Francisco (M.A. '17) and Tammy Hong (B.A. '18) also attended her talk. Woohoo!
