Prof Wayne Franits gave a guest lecture last week at the Speed Art Museum in Louisville, Kentucky. Titled, "A Gilded Cage in a Golden Age? Women in Seventeenth-Century Dutch Art," his lecture explored images of women in 17th-century Dutch art.
