Dual Enrollment Programs
If you are interested in pursuing a major from the College of Arts and Sciences (A&S) | Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and a major from another school at Syracuse, consider our dual enrollment options. A&S | Maxwell offers dual enrollment options with the following schools:
- Martin J. Whitman School of Management
- S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications
Looking to enroll in a dual program? Please select this option when completing the Common or Coalition Application. If you are not admitted to a dual program, you'll be able to re-apply later for an intra-university transfer into a dual enrollment program, once you are enrolled at the University.

International Relations and Management
I’ve always wanted to study both international relations and business because of how interdependent they are and their relevance to our society today. I chose to study these topics through the dual program at Syracuse because of how it prioritizes leadership, critical thinking, and technical skills in a way that really challenges me and prepares me for my professional goals.
S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications
Students dually enrolled in A&S | Maxwell and Newhouse complete the requirements for an A&S | Maxwell B.A. or B.S. degree, or a selected studies program approved by the dean of A&S. Psychology and Photojournalism
I chose to pursue a dual program because Newhouse will help me market myself even more effectively to graduate schools and potential employers. My combined training in psychology, photojournalism, and graphic design will help me appeal not just to my colleagues in clinical psychology, but to millions of people who do not have a science background but wish to better understand mental health.
