A.P. Balachandran, the Joel Dorman Steele Emeritus Professor of Physics, passed away on April 18, 2025. He joined the faculty at Syracuse University in 1964 and, over the course of his distinguished career, mentored over 40 doctoral students, advised numerous postdoctoral associates and fostered several major collaborations. He made significant contributions to the field of high-energy physics, authoring or co-authoring over 200 research papers and several books.
