A&S Alumna Ash Andrews ’21 Brings Years of Recruitment Experience to the A&S | Maxwell Admissions Office
Andrews joins the A&S | Maxwell admissions team after serving in Syracuse University’s central Office of Admissions for over four years.
The College of Arts and Sciences (A&S) | Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs admissions office is pleased to announce the arrival of Ash Andrews as its new recruitment specialist. She will work to maximize enrollments in all undergraduate programs, and will collaborate with faculty, college leadership and the University’s Office of Admissions on initiatives that will encourage a diverse cohort of high-achieving new students to apply—and attend—A&S | Maxwell.
“We’re very excited to welcome Ash to this new role, which will allow us to continue to grow interest in our programs,” says Christopher Anderson, director of graduate and undergraduate recruitment for A&S | Maxwell. “Ash is ready to jump right in due to her experience as an A&S student, a Syracuse tour guide and admissions officer.”
Prior to joining the A&S | Maxwell admissions team, Andrews served as an admissions officer for one year in Syracuse’s central Office of Admissions, following three and a half years as a campus tour guide in the same office. In these positions, Andrews met with prospective students, visited local high schools and participated in many admissions-related special events.
Andrews holds a bachelor’s degree from A&S in biotechnology and plans to pursue a Master of Public Health degree from Falk College.
“Being a recent graduate while also having several years of experience working in admissions gives me the unique opportunity to connect with students on a more personal level while supporting them through the college search process,” says Andrews. “I am excited and honored to join such an incredible team, and to be back at my alma mater here in A&S | Maxwell. I look forward to continuing to share my experiences and those of others to make this process exciting and accessible to all students."
In her spare time, Ash enjoys reading, playing guitar and going on runs with her dog, Ziggy.
