Mitchell brings a relationship-driven approach to fundraising and a proven record of donor engagement.

Kyle Mitchell has been named Director of Development for the College of Arts and Sciences (A&S), where he will build philanthropic partnerships in support of the College's priorities within its new academic strategic plan

Mitchell comes to A&S from Syracuse University's Leadership Annual Giving and Discovery team, where he earned a strong track record in prospect qualification and donor engagement since 2024. In his new role, he will work closely with alumni and friends of the College to connect their interests to opportunities across A&S, from student scholarships and experiential learning to faculty excellence and community engagement.

“We are delighted to welcome Kyle to our team,” says Jen Stone, A&S interim dean for advancement and the University's assistant vice president for schools, colleges and units. “He brings deep knowledge of Syracuse's advancement model and a proven ability to translate academic excellence into compelling philanthropic opportunities. His passion for higher education, analytical rigor and personal warmth make him an exceptional addition to our team.”

Mitchell earned a bachelor's degree and an MBA from Liberty University, where he also competed on the Division I track and field team. He later served as an assistant coach for the program, mentoring young athletes competing at the DI level.

“I’m thrilled to join the College of Arts and Sciences and immerse myself in the incredible work happening here,” he says. “I look forward to supporting the College’s strategic plan by amplifying its impact and sharing those stories with alumni and supporters.”

Mitchell lives in East Syracuse and enjoys spending time with his family.

His first day will be February 23.
