The College of Arts and Sciences’ (A&S’) Office of Communications welcomes marketing professional Casey Schad, who will serve as the College’s digital and social media specialist.

Prior to joining A&S, Schad was a social media producer at Cazenovia College, where he managed their social media accounts and developed digital content highlighting faculty and students. Schad, a graduate of Onondaga Community College and Le Moyne College, also worked as a marketing associate for a Syracuse-based apparel company and founded For Earth For All, an online-based apparel and accessories brand with a humorous and eco-friendly theme.

“Thanks to Casey’s experience within higher education, he will acclimate quickly while bringing a fresh perspective to our content strategy of highlighting A&S’ opportunities and experiences for students, as well as spotlighting faculty and alumni accomplishments,” says Arts and Sciences director of communications, Daeya Malboeuf. “I’m particularly excited to see how Casey will build on our strategic growth of online friends and followers so that news of the College’s research and teaching excellence can reach an ever-widening audience around the globe.”

A native of Central New York, Schad has been a lifelong fan of the Orange and is excited to join the Syracuse University community.

“Growing up a passionate supporter of the Orange, I am honored to be able to contribute to the growth of the College of Arts and Science and the University,” says Schad. “I look forward to creating engaging and well-researched content across all A&S social and digital platforms.”
