We're Just Wild About 'Harry'
Nearly 100 lucky A&S students recently went behind the scenes of Harry Connick Jr.’s popular, new daytime TV show.
The lesson of the day is-always open an email from director of career development and services, Sue Casson-you never know what great opportunity you could miss!
Over winter break, nearly 100 A&S students made their way to New York City for chance to be in the audience for the newest daytime talk show, HARRY, hosted by the incomparable Harry Connick Jr. NBCUniversal graciously invited several College of Arts and Science students to come be a part of an entire week of live tapings in January, just before classes began for the spring semester.
Throughout the week of tapings, students got a chance to see Connick interview some incredible musicians and celebrities including singer/songwriter Jewel, actor Seth MacFarlane, comedian Chris Hardwick, and hip hop artists Remy Ma and Fat Joe.
Students were also invited to participate in talk back sessions with members of the production staff after each taping; allowing them to gain valuable information about available internships, along with career and professional development.
Additional opportunities to attend live television show tapings are currently being developed for spring break 2017 and will be announced soon.
