Dual major Nancy Leu '15 opens up about her time at Syracuse, the benefits of networking, and the job waiting for her in New York City. (VIDEO)
Nancy Leu '15 will have one less thing to worry about as she prepares for graduation ceremonies this May. The Political Science and Policy Studies Major was offered a job as an Operations Analyst with Morgan Stanley, 3 months before she will officially be handed her diploma. Starting in July, the New York City native will head back home to begin 3 weeks of training and orientation for a position that also utilizes her Global Enterprise Technology minor.
Leu credits Sue Casson in Syracuse University Career Services, and the "Bridge to Business" program for helping her make the right connections through multiple networking events.
“I think it’s important because your resume and your application is just one of a thousand other people.” Explains Leu. “So being able to make that face to face connection with someone, not just on a professional but also on a personal level, is important. If anything does open up, you are probably going to be one of the first people they will call.”
