- Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Neuroscience concentration (Integrated Learning Major) (B.S. in CSD and ILM Neuroscience)
- Combined 4+1 Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology Degrees (B.S. CSD and M.S. SLP)
The undergraduate programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) are designed to provide students with solid pre-professional training in the basic nature of human communication and disorders of communication. Students receive thorough grounding in the biological, psychological, physical, and linguistic bases of communication through completion of both basic liberal arts core requirements and specialized courses in the CSD Program. The coursework prepares students for the professional training they will receive in a master's degree program in either Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology. At the undergraduate level, students do not specialize in either Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology; the degree is a general one in CSD.
Guided clinical experiences during the undergraduate program foster the clinical skills that students will need for clinical practica in their graduate program. Students observe diagnosis and treatment of clients with a wide variety of speech, language, or hearing disorders.
In addition to the traditional undergraduate degree in CSD, we also offer a 4+1, which is a combined bachelor's and master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. For more information about this program, please see the Speech-Language Pathology 4+1 Program page.
Some students pair the CSD major with the Neuroscience Integrated Learning Major.
