Research by Robert P. Doyle, the Jack and Laura H. Milton Professor and Dean's Professor of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences, was featured in a Newsweek article titled, "Researchers Present Ozempic Alternatives—Without Sickening GI Side Effects."
The article highlights the work of Doyle and his fellow researchers, who are working to develop peptide-based treatments which offer significant and consistent weight loss and glucose control but without common, negative side-effects such as nausea/vomiting.
Doyle was also interviewed on an episode of Upstate Medical University's Informed Patient Podcast titled, "Proposed weight-loss drugs aim for fewer side effects."
